Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG will henceforth be the corporate name of Tognum AG, which manufactures engines for the oil and gas industry, diesel gensets, and cogeneration plants for heat and power (CHP).
Tognum has been a subsidiary of both Daimler and Rolls-Royce who both own a 50% stake in the company. The joint venture between Rolls-Royce and Daimler that begun in 2013 continues under the new company name.
The decision was made to reflect the industrial ties to Daimler and Rolls-Royce for the large engines, propulsion systems and distributed energy systems specialists.
