Zinc battery storage system firm Eos Energy Storage has announced three key appointments to its board of directors.
Audrey Zibelman, Dr. Krishna Singh, and Alex Dimitrief will join four other members of the American firm’s board upon the closing of the business combination with B. Riley Principal Merger Corp. II (“BMRG”).
The company’s CEO Joe Mastrangelo has been invited to join the board.
The board will provide insight and counsel on the continued strategic direction of Eos while also working with Eos and customers to accelerate the adoption of its long-duration ESS.
Zibelman is the CEO of the Australian Energy Market Operator, which manages electricity and gas systems across Australia, but starts a role at X , a subsidiary of Alphabet (the parent company of Google) in 2021 where she will lead the development of new clean energy technologies.
Dimitrief is a former general counsel and trial lawyer who has steered energy and other global businesses through legal, regulatory, commercial and operational challenges.
Dr. Singh is the founder, president and chief executive officer of Holtec International, a supplier of equipment and systems for the energy industry.
In September 2019, Eos and Holtec formed Hi-Power, a multi-gigawatt manufacturing joint venture to produce Eos’ next generation of aqueous zinc batteries in Pennsylvania, US.
