Exide Technologies has introduced a lithium iron phosphate product, the Solition Material Handling battery. It is aimed at industrial sectors including forklifts, automated guided vehicles, ports, ground support equipment and lifting platforms.
The company claims the 24–120V prismatic cell battery can take up to 4,000 cycles and 90% depth of discharge. A cloud-based online services option allows remote monitoring of key battery performance.
Capacity is 100-2,800Ah. It said ampere-hour charge efficiency is more than 98%, which means less energy is wasted in overcharging.
The battery is compatible with recuperation systems. Energy recovery and charge acceptance are high. Charge up to 1C is possible, it said.
