Battery manufacturing equipment OEMs Manz and Shenzhen Yinghe Technology have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop their lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing portfolios.
The deal between the German and Chinese firms, announced on 14 January, will allow them to offer production technology from their respective product portfolios within the framework of a licensing model.
In addition to the joint project management, both partners have agreed on mutual support for research and development activities related to production facilities for lithium-ion batteries.
The existing intellectual property remains exclusively with the respective company. Inventions and improvements developed within the framework of the cooperation belong together to Manz and Yinghe.
