Lithium-ion battery maker Electrovaya has signed a deal to supply an unnamed electric mobility OEM with its cells.
The Canadian firm’s wholly owned subsidiary Litarion GmbH signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to deliver battery modules to the OEM from the start of 2017.
Electrovaya stated the multi-year deal would be worth around €37million in the first year.
Fritz Mueller, head of European sales at Litarion, said: “Our multi-cell modules with laser welded tabs and built in sensors, are an attractive product for OEMs, who can use them as building blocks for many diverse battery applications in e-mobility.”
