California-based Imergy has announced its intention to muscle in on the lead-acid and lithium-ion Energy Storage System (ESS) sector with its latest product.
The company’s line of Large Scale Energy Storage Platform (ESP) vanadium-flow batteries are aimed at utilities, renewables integration and mining operations.
The turnkey solution ESP 250 series is capable of delivering 250 kilowatts of electrical power for four or more hours with a 1MWh capacity range.
The company claims it can operate for at least 20 years without the need to replace electrolytes due to it having few moving parts.
The ESP is housed in two 40-foot shipping containers, and is designed for utilities, large commercial, industrial and government end-users, and developers of renewable energy projects,
This turnkey energy storage solution is scalable with available powers ranging from kilowatts to multiple megawatts and, independently, with available energy ranging from two to twelve hours output duration.
