Slovakian electric vehicle R&D and battery production company InoBat said it entered a strategic partnership to supply battery cells to Cosworth, an electrified powertrain specialist.
InoBat will use its R&D and manufacturing operations to develop state-of-the-art battery cell chemistries and supply fully optimised battery cells to Cosworth. They will go into Cosworth’s battery packs in the high-performance automotive market among other sectors, at the heart of the UK’s high-performance technology cluster at Silverstone.
InoBat specialises in pioneering research, development, manufacture, supply and recycling of innovative electric batteries custom designed to meet the specific requirements of global mainstream and specialist OEMs within the automotive, commercial vehicle, motorsport and aerospace sectors.
It has a battery research and development facility and pilot line under development in Slovakia.
Cosworth is a global technology business that delivers propulsion, electronics and software solutions for customers in the automotive, aerospace, and marine sectors. It offers hybrid or EV propulsion, data connectivity and automation technology.
