Sweden’s Northvolt has made two new appointments to its executive management team. Pia Aaltonen-Forsell becomes its new chief financial officer, taking over from Alexander Hartman, who takes on the role of chief transformation officer.
He will lead Northvolt’s recently announced company strategic review. Both start in August. Aaltonen-Forsell was previously CFO of steel manufacturer Outokumpu.
Matthias Arleth joins and will focus on Northvolt’s growth strategy – beginning with its first gigafactory in Skellefteå, northern Sweden. He will also take responsibility for Northvolt’s battery cell technology R&D and production.
Arleth comes from over 25 years in senior leadership positions at various large global automotive companies, including Volkswagen.
