The £3.2billion sell off of lithium-ion and lead-acid separator firm Polypore International has been finalised.
The $2.2billion deal with Japanese firm Asahi Kasei Corporation has closed, with Polypore now a core operating company of the Asahi Kasei Group.
The $1billion deal to sell its Separations Media business segment to 3M Company has also closed.
Polypore and Asahi Kasei will work together to integrate their technology and expertise to develop and grow its battery separator business.
Back in January BBB reported on the deal which includes lithium-ion battery separator manufacturer Celgard, lead-acid battery separators producer Daramic, and a number of Polypore’s production plants.
