Germany Sonnenbatterie’s lithium-ion Energy Storage Systems (ESS) will be marketed to the U.S and Europe following a deal with Solar company Sungevity
Through the partnership, Sungevity will offer Sonnenbatterie smart ESSs to its network of customers from the second half of 2015.
Sonnenbatterie’s storage systems incorporate Sony’s Fortelion lithium-ion cells with an industry-leading 10,000 charge cycles.
Sonnenbatterie chose to partner with Sungevity due to its proprietary remote solar design technology.
Customers will be able to use the ESS to store excess energy generated by solar panels for night use, during peak pricing hours or power outages.
