VanadiumCorp Resource announced on 18 September it had appointed Dr. Gilles Champagne as its chief technology officer and director to lead development of new vanadium energy technologies.
Dr. Champagne said he believed vanadium redox flow batteries had the potential to revolutionise global power grids with clean energy.
Adriaan Bakker, CEO of VanadiumCorp said Dr. Champagne would lead development of key technology innovation to reach the company’s commercial objectives.
Dr. Champagne has worked in Canada, the US and Europe structuring organisations, directing technical activities and managing teams that develop and build energy storage products.
The company also announced the resignation of Marc Kok from its board of directors. Kok will continue to act as a consultant on vanadium energy technologies.
