Power equipment specialist Briggs & Stratton of Wisconsin, US, launched its Vanguard 1.5 kWh swappable battery at construction trade show Bauma 2022.
It said the new li-ion battery will enable users to easily swap the battery between applications, for example in the rental industry. Being swappable between machines removes the need for different battery types.
The built-in latching system means the battery can securely click in and out of place.
The cell chemistry allows for diverse applications and load factors. Up to 10 batteries can be used in parallel. Standard charging time is under two hours. The battery comes with a built-in battery management system.
