Not all EVs are created equal, as Drive Eo’s 1MW lithium-ion powered racing model proves.
The Latvian engineering company unveiled its eO PP03, a 1020 kW (1368 hp) all-electric race car which boasts more than four times that of Tesla’s Roadster.
The all-wheel drive eO PP03 has a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery pack powering six YASA-400 electric motors with in-house developed eO controllers.
Kristaps Dambis, project director at Drive eO, said: “We have built the car from the ground up and the majority of the components and design has been constructed in-house.”
Designed and built in Latvia, the car will compete at the annual Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in the US later this year.
