Chinese start-up electric aircraft company Autoflight announced a major order from Singapore-based air transport company EvFly for 10 electric vertical-takeoff-and-landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
The first 10 Prosperity cargo are expected to be delivered in 2025 and will operate in the Middle East. No financial details were disclosed. The company operates passenger and cargo aircraft.
Earlier this month, Autoflight claimed “the world’s longest” eVTOL flight to date. It said its electric aircraft, Prosperity I, covered 250 kilometres on a single lithium-ion battery charge. It was remote-controlled from the ground.
The flying taxi is hoping to gain certification in 2025 with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency.
