Fiji has stepped into the lead-acid industry with the launch of Pacific Batteries Ltd’s first Valve Regulated Lead Acid Batteries (VRLA) made on its shores.
The company, which makes 12V and 6V batteries for the automotive, marine and deep cycle applications, has invested $500,000 on the new product.
The batteries are designed with carbon nano-tubes based on U.S. firm Black Diamond Structures’ Molecular Rebar technology, reports the Fiji Sun newspaper.
All PBL made batteries use time tested dry charged plate technology.
