Battery testing and production assembly equipment firm Digatron Group has appointed automotive industry veteran Marcello Fantoni as head of global sales and marketing and GM of its Italy-based Digatron Systems.
Marcello has more than 20 years of experience in the global automotive industry with Fiat Chrysler, and has worked in the energy storage industry since 2015.
Marcello brings an international and diverse skillset to the global role to guide the Digatron global sales teams.
Rolf Beckers ,Digatron founder and chairman, said Marcello was hired to help the company
expand the business from the traditional battery laboratory to the opportunities arising from the EV electrification process for lithium cell manufacturing and testing.
Digatron is an international group of companies with headquarters in Aachen, Germany, with global manufacturing facilities in the US, China, India and Italy.
Digatron manufactures equipment, systems, and devices for the production, testing and development of batteries such as lithium, lead, NiMH, and sodium-sulfur.
