Battery materials provider The Doe Run Company (Doe Run) has re-hired J. Ross Conner as its vice president –metals and exploration- to help direct its metals exploration and lead battery recycling services.
Conner will provide “strategic direction” for the organisation, with a particular emphasis in exploration activities and sustainable metal production at the company’s lead battery Resource Recycling facility in Missouri, US.
Resource Recycling recycles about 370 million pounds of lead bearing materials, including around eight million recycled lead batteries, each year.
Conner previously served as Doe Run’s vice president – exploration and development from 2010 to 2019.
During his first stint at the firm, Conner oversaw development of hydromet technologies for lead metal processing at the company’s Research and Technology Center.
Most recently, Conner was a consultant vice president of mining services for the Railveyor Technology Group.
Conner’s CV includes overseeing all aspects of the mining business, including exploration, geology, underground mine production, smelting, environmental systems and sustainable development initiatives.
