North American lead-acid battery firm East Penn Manufacturing has announced a number of promotions within its manufacturing organisational structure.
Among the shake-up of management positions was Lawrence Miksiewicz, who is now senior vice president of Manufacturing & Purchasing at the Pennsylvanian firm.
The former vice president of manufacturing and purchasing for the Industrial Division has risen through the ranks at the company since joining it in 1987 as a project engineer.
He will now report directly to Robert Flicker, chief operating officer.
Miksiewicz will oversee each of the company’s manufacturing divisions including Automotive, Industrial (Reserve Power & Motive Power), and Diversified (Wire, Cable, Accessories, and Injection Molding).
His role also includes East Penn International (a division that serves the Asia-Pacific market) and the Purchasing departments that support the company’s manufacturing divisions.
Miksiewicz has extensive experience within manufacturing management including director of the Industrial division, plant manager of East Penn’s Specialty plant and plant manager of its automotive plant.
He has a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University. He currently lives in New Tripoli with his wife, Jami, and three children.
