Australian firm Energy Made Clean (EMC) has been chosen by Western Australian energy provider Synergy to supply and install a trial 1.1MWh lithium-ion battery storage system.
The project includes installation of the energy storage system which will store energy from solar panels.
EMC will assemble and commission the system at its new Osborne Park manufacturing facility before completing the installation on-site at Alkimos Beach in September.
It hopes it will be operational by December 2015.
