Standby lead-acid battery manufacturer C&D Technologies has named Armand Lauzon Jr. as President and CEO.
Lauzon stepped into the role at the US firm after 13 years, as CEO and board member of three portfolio companies of the US asset management firm Carlyle Group.
His new role will see him aiming to grow the company which manufacturers Valve regulated lead-acid (VRLA), and valve lead-acid (flowed) batteries for UPS, telecommunications utility and switchgear applications.
Lauzon moves into the seat previously occupied by outgoing CEO Christian Rheault.
Lauzon joined the Carlyle Group from Precision Castparts Corporation, a company focusing on Structural Investment Castings, Forged Components, and Airfoil Castings for aircraft engines.
C&D Technologies is headquartered in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
