US start-up Volta Power Systems has secured its own space in Holland, Michigan, to manufacture its lithium-ion energy storage systems.
The 7,800-square-foot manufacturing space will allow the firm to manufacture its turn-key automotive-grade systems for recreational vehicles, marine applications, and specialty commercial vehicles.
The new space will house the manufacturing— capable of producing up to 4,000 power systems a year— and management of Volta.
Volta works with US cell providers for their system.
Volta previously leased office space from their business partners, Inline Electric.
Volta also plans to add four new positions, including assembly and chemical engineers, to its team in 2017.
